The bill gives tax credits to small businesses which hire the unemployed. It will eventually phase out the corporate income tax. Small businesses in Georgia account for 98 per cent of all employers in the state. Legislators hope this bill will result in increased confidence in Georgia's economy, thereby attracting more business -- and thus more jobs -- to the state.
More jobs = less unemployment, to make it simple for any government weanies who might be reading this.
Unlike Obama's pork laden "stimulus" -- which only stimulates the growth of big government -- this legislation will actually help Georgia's economy with real, long lasting results.

The left may want to portray businesses as evil and greedy but as Neil Boortz says, if you think rich people are evil, go get a job from a poor person.

Deb, You are so lucky to have pro-business legislators. Here, in Wisconsin, our tax-happy governor and majority Dems just passed a bill of over $1 billion in new tax provisions! We're moving to Georgia when we retire.
