We are going to Tybee this summer. It's going to be a million degrees with 150 percent humidity. But I don't care. We're staying two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean. I can sit outside and listen to the waves hit the beach, I can smell salt water, I can watch dolphins jump and birds fly and walk the beach for 48 hours straight if I want to.
I love Tybee Island and Savannah. We are coming back with a brief stopover in Savannah, then maybe through Milledgeville to visit Flannery O'Connor's home, Andalusia.
It's only a few weeks away. I can already smell the sea....
