I was wondering the same thing. But then I heard some Democrat clip on some talk radio program who gave a clue to the additional goals of this bill. He said it was intended to redistribute wealth, pure and simple. Gee, couldn't they have done that without messing with our health care??

Yes, indeed. The real purpose is simply to take over more control of the economy. Obama is a statist--government control of business.
